PURPOSE OF FUNCTION:

The Facility Management function provides support to IKEA core business throughout the building life cycle; and to support sustainable business development to the lowest possible long-term cost.

PURPOSE OF JOB:

To be a local expert, providing advice and technical support to the site or regional groups of sites on a specific subject area, and maintaining up-to-date expertise in that specific subject area in order to enhance IKEA’s subject area knowledge, while advancing operational best-practice within the business. The role may be temporary or shared with another respoibility in the FM structure.

ASSIGNMENT:

GENERAL

？ I develop subject area knowledge and expertise both peonally, and within the site, and support the implementation of best-practice aimed at lowering operational cost, and improving the efficiency and reliability of assets and building services.

？ I maintain an up-to-date knowledge-base of site-related issues, techniques, and regulatory compliance requirements relating to the specialist subject area.

？ I share knowledge with, and nurture innovation from, facility management co-worke.

？ I communicate best-practice subject area practices to other sites, and participate in the local subject matter expert network.

？ I identify my own professional development needs and participate in annual self-assessments to review development opportunities.

CAPABILITYKILL:

？ Subject area expertise.

？ Mechanical and technical knowledge, and practical experience, in all facility systems; including electrical and lighting, mechanical and HVAC, structural, site, building automation and energy management.
