POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is a Senior Networking position for Gates APAC and requires a highly motivated and innovative IT professional who must have a track record of looking outside the box and using technology to deliver true value through traformation.

The position works closely with global and regional leade in Operational and Corporate Services functio to provide technical expertise in networking technologies based on Cisco solutio and successfully manage the portfolio of IT Infrastructure projects.

The geographical scope includes China, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, India, Australia and South East Asia (primarily in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPOIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

?Participates in the design, implementation, and evolution of the network and supporting systems.

?Develops and reviews complex implementation pla for networkystem upgrades.

?Liaises with the Gates Global IT infrastructure and security teams on projects, regional requirements policies and procedures, etc.

?Remai informed of new technical developments and trends in the industry.

?Makes recommendatio to management on desirable network solutio and opportunities.

?Research, evaluate and document new products and tools.

?Continually plan for the expaion of the Gates APAC network.

?Regular interaction with vendo for the purposes of investigating new equipment and services.

?Serves as a trouble-shooter on complex network problems.

?Research, evaluate, and approve hardware and software solutio for complex problems and solutio.

?Mento local IT manage and staff membe in day to day network management and troubleshooting task.

?Pla network systems by evaluating network technologies; developing requirements for local area networks (LA, WLA), wide area networks (WA), route, and related network devices; as well as hardware and software; adhering to industry standards.

?Maintai network by monitoring and euring compliance to standards, policies, and procedures; developing and conducting training programs for site based IT staff

?Upgrades network systems by monitoring environment; identifying gaps; evaluating and implementing enhancements.

?Updates job knowledge by tracking and undetanding emerging network practices and standards; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publicatio; maintaining peonal networks; participating in professional organizatio.

?Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownehip for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

SUPERVISORY RESPOIBILITIES:

?Performs significant project management functio with direct supervisory requirements to the central IT server team and distributed IT staff at Gates APAC locatio to accomplish IT goals and standards

?Respoible to inform, train and direct IT peonnel to use standard build processes, system desig, and operational processes.

?Respoible to lead and partake with other team membe in problem resolution, root cause analysis, and remediation activities.

?Minimum 7 yea’ experience of working in a Matrix organization (APAC and Global) in a network and Infrastructure capacity

?Project management experience of international complex multi-site IT infrastructure projects

?Experienced in designing, building, deploying and operationally maintaining complex Network and Server infrastructures on a global basis.

?Experience of managing 3rd party supplie & service provider relatiohips across multiple sites.

?Proven technical knowledge in network and server infrastructures

?Proven technical knowledge with wireless network design, implementation and troubleshooting

Proven knowledge of designing server environments to effectively leverage IT investments

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Advanced knowledge of network operatio.

Advanced knowledge of Cisco hardware and IOS/Nexus.

Advanced knowledge of serve, switches, route, and various network services.

Advanced Knowledge in server virtualization technologies. Hyper V preferred

Advanced problem solving skills.

High analytical problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Ability to assume leadehip duties in leading implementation and/or design activities

Advanced communication skills, written and verbally across all level of the business Strong, resilient individual capable of dealing with the typical teio that arise within a IT service environment

EDUCATION:

Educated to Degree level (preferred) in a Computer Science subject or related equivalent

CCNP, CCDA, CCSP, CCIE (One or more preferred)

ITILv3 Foundation (preferred, but not essential)

CISSP, (ISSAP, ISSEP, ISSMP), GIAC, CISM, SSCP, CEH, CHS-III, TICSA, ISSPCS:P, CCSA, CIWSA, CCS a plus (Preferred but not required)

The work environment for this position is in APAC. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work generally coists of operating IT equipment and systems by use of compute.

This position is an on call position and will require work outside of normal business hou. Weekend work will be required on an occasional basis to match available maintenance windows for IT system maintenance.

Ability to travel internationally as defined by the Business (40% of work time).
