Purpose

Provide leadehip under the direction of a Low Cost Manufacturing (LCM) Team Manager, or an appointed designee, in the execution and control of assigned product manufacturing with the ultimate goal of achieving project completion on time, within budgets, to the satisfaction of the customer, and at acceptable levels of quality without compromising safety or reliability.

Nature and Scope

The LCM Manufacturing Engineer is a member of a LCM management group and is respoible for executing assigned product manufacturing and achieving project goals in support of the business areas. The LCM Manufacturing Engineer reports to a LCM Team Manager who heads the Low Cost Manufacturing group, or to an appointed designee such as a Group Supervisor or a Lead Project Engineer for a specific project.

LCM Manufacturing Engineer is respoible for those LCM products (Cryogenic front-end skid, PSA, PHG H2 unit, small VSA…etc.), or portio of products, assigned to them by the LCM Team Manager. Individual projects are based on 3rd party fabricator, which have been approved/ authorized by APCI management. The supply of units may be for export markets and domestic use (or both). Decision based on optimum supply chain strategy. The LCM team would be able to provide ex-works equipment to othe for itallation and commissioning. LCM Manufacturing Engineer are manufacturing based so will not do turn-key work. The primary challenge is to complete the product manufacturing scope of supply while meeting the critical success facto, typically schedule, at minimum cost, to the required levels of quality, in a safe and efficient manner.

The LCM Manufacturing Engineer is typically the individual who is assigned respoibility from the technical aspect for leading a 3rd party manufacturing contracto in defining and completing an agreed upon scope of supply. The LCM Manufacturing Engineer assumes ownehip of the product manufacturing budget, schedule, and technical quality to achieve the project and business objectives established at the start of the project. Typical product manufacturing team member coist of a matrix resource within APCI and also include external contracto and coultants.

Because a LCM Manufacturing Engineer is the member of a matrix product manufacturing team, there are key characteristics and traits required of the LCM Manufacturing Engineer. The LCM Manufacturing Engineer must exercise sound judgment and interpeonal skills in the coordination and direction of the individuals that comprise the product manufacturing team.

The LCM Manufacturing Engineer must:

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Assist the business area with definition of product manufacturing scope of supply and with estimating costs for product manufacturing scope of supply.

2. Provide technical point of contact to 3rd party manufacturing contracto for assigned projects.

3. Execute product manufacturing as assigned to meet or exceed project schedule, budget, and quality requirements. This includes, as required by the specific project, performing and/or the coordination of resources to complete the procurement fabrication tasks.

4. Report to management on project status, fabricator’s capacity, work load and quality issue

JOB REQUIREMENTS

1. Education – B. Eng/ B. Sc.

2. Experience – 7+ yea experience; in ipection or quality control, preferably within pressure vessel. Experience of gas generato, vessel or equipment manufacture useful. Some undetanding of Electrical, Itrumentation and Controls Systems will be necessary. Knowledge of CE marking will be better.

3. Scope - Prime respoibility for product manufacturing, Involved in several products of varying risk and scope, Limited product development work, Basic undetanding of applicable Engineering Codes (GB, ASME, PED…) regarding material/welding/NDT especially, and export process

4. Interpeonal Contacts - Good interpeonal and communication skills. Self-motivated team contributor but able to work autonomously. Good at dealing with supplie and fabricato. A ‘hands-on’ attitude towards project delivery will be required. This is a small team and ability to use contractor and in-house resources as necessary is essential.

5. Direction GiveReceived - May supervise EDP positio, Receives general itruction and supervision, Participates in 3rd party manufacturing contracto development program planning

6. Primary Respoibilities - Contribute expertise on new product manufacturing issues, Feedback for the improvement of existing manufacturing procedures, Resolves manufacturing issues. Develops and sustai strong working relatiohips with 3rd party manufacturing contracto

9. Language – Good in English reading, writing and speaking
