The candidate should have experience with inland container traportation / operatio and procurement, and should be able to apply procurement tools to drive cost initiatives. This includes experience with e-based sourcing platforms such as Ariba or Sci-Quest. Due to the complexity and nature of the respoibility, it is necessary to possess 5 or more yea of experience within procurement, strategic sourcing and negotiatio. The individual we are looking for must have strong managerial,communication, networking and interpeonal skills through which she or he can use to engage with a broad range of stakeholde to drive down cost and improve efficiencies in collaboration with our inland supplie

What this position involves

？ Leading and developing the Maek Line Far East Asia inland procurement team of procurement professional’s,including being respoible for overall inland strategies and our annual inland procurement Game Plan.

？ Managing complex procurement projects within inland traportation (trucking, barge, rail), inland depots, and equipment, maintenance & repair (EMR) across a wide range of procurement areas incl. respoibility for the strategic supplie within the category.

？ Planning, management and participation in negotiatio for the inland category and establishing of Service Level Agreements between Maek Line’s operation and its strategic supplie.

？ Cooperating closely with colleagues and stakeholde in Maek Line’s operation in Greater China, Japan and Korea, engaging with the inland procurement stakeholde in Copenhagen, Denmark, and Maek Line´s other 7 regional operational offices.

？ Being accountable for establishing and developing procurement frameworks and processes including end-2-end contracting strategies through incl. execution, implementation including complete contracts lifecycle and supplier performance management.

？ Performing supplier market analysis and organising market intelligence for inland spend within Maek Line’s Greater China, Japan and Korea operation, and benchmarking Maek Line cost competition and euring cost leadehip.

？ An ability to solve complex challenges through analysis and based on accurate identification of underlying factocauses and are aware of the impact of proposed solutio outside their own immediate area.
