Roles and Respoibilities

Job Function:

?Assist effectively upon demand on all AL assignments. Be a leader to solve all textiles technical issues

?Communicate effectively with clients on questio raised and/or program progress

?Lead all the projects where textiles visiting and textiles QC are involved

?Develop and conduct key Client presentatio on textiles and yar

?Work closely with Client’s Product Development team and supplie to eure fabric fit for purpose

?Maintain and expand wide sourcing network with mills, yarn supplie, trade organizatio

?Manage fabric library

?Conduct mill visit, attend trade shows

?Conduct Fabric mill evaluation to identify mill capability and quality assurance procedure

?Work with QA team to set SOP and ipection requirements

?Work with 3rd party testing labs to set test protocols

?Carry out risk assessment to identify high risk products during development stage and alert Clients before their order confirmation

?Provide technical support to Client’s Design and Product Development teams for fabric, prints and trims

?Review and approval of 3rd party testing lab report

?Eure fabric quality and color coistency across different supplie for all products

?Investigate root cause in quality failures by inline or pilot ipectio with factories, fabric mills, laboratories, chemical supplie etc. and offer assistance for the determination and implementation of corrective action plan

?Approval of bulk fabric colo, setup shade band and conduct technical review and approval on bulk issues

?Monitor and maintain scorecard for fabric mills and 3rd party testing lab performance

?Meet regularly with mills, yarn supplie, chemical companies, and coating/laminating facilities on new ideas for innovation and quality improvements. Be aware of and well veed in the market and competito’ product mix.

?Respoible for handling the fabric technicia / ipecto

?Process & Procedures: eure that all Technicia are precisely following Impactiva’s P&P

?Quality:eure that technicia meet business unit’s Quality Key Performance Indicato

Requirements:

?Bachelor’s degree (Textile engineering or Textile manufacturing systems is preferred)

?Experience practicing:

In a manufacturing environment ideally with an integrated manufacturer (Woven + Knits) where at least the Textile Engineer has conducted spinning, knitting, weaving, dyeing, printing, finishing departments (this could be acquired after various experiences)

In the development-commercialization-engineering-industrialization departments of a woveknits manufacturer

In the Quality department of a textile manufacturing company

?+15 yea executing manufacturing management and technical duties

?+5 yea in Textiles R&D dept.

?Experience working in emerging countries and the cultural nuances that exist

?Proven world-class ability to undetand a client’s current problems and long-term strategic operational goals and build an end-to-end program, phase by phase, describing tools to be used, order in which they will be applied, resources required and program cost and gross margin calculatio

?Very good written and spoken English

?Willing to travel
