Role Description

Reporting to the Regional Manager (Asia and Russia) for Medical Product Information, this role will provide Medical Product Information services for China. Working collaboratively with key internal stakeholde, this role will develop and maintain compliant processes, implement and maintain the Medical Information Database, conduct MI training for relevant colleagues and provide technical and medical information pertaining to all ALCON products, in respoe to inquiries from healthcare professionals, coume and internal staff. This role may also assist with medical affai associated activities including Patient Orientated Programs and Investigator Initiated Trials, as determined by the Regional Head of Medical Affai. Close alignment, full integration and expert collaboration with key stakeholde across China will underpin the success of this role.

Major Accountabilities

?Medical Information Respoible (MRI) peon for China.

?Establish collaborative and innovative working relatiohips with key local, regional and global stakeholde.

?In collaboration with key stakeholde, manage the process of providing medical product information services across the China

?Collaborate with Regional Manager for MI and Regional Medical Affai director on Medical Affai projects, as required.

?Eure Medical Information processes are compliant with applicable medical, legal, regulatory, and commercial standards and requirements.

?Provide technical/medical product information in respoe to inquiries from Alcon's customer base and internal departments.

?Provide critical support to Medical Safety as liaison for product inquiries.

?Provide critical support to Customer Service as the liaison for technical, advanced and elevated inquiries.

?Provide support to Regulatory Affai for product labeling, agency requests, and department initiatives, as required.

?Screen inquiries for safety issues and forward advee event reports, medical device reports and product complaints to Medical Safety in accordance with Alcon and regulatory guidelines

?Conduct scientific searches and evaluate data to respond to technical inquiries or to develop FAQs

?Coordinate and develop customized respoes to inquiries, develop FAQs and standard respoes and obtain content approvals as necessary. Euring respoes are provided in a timely and compliant manner.

?Implementation and ongoing utilization of Alcon’s global MPI database.

?Respoible for the integrity of all information uploaded into the MPI database for China

?Develop and maintain MPI repository of peer reviewed literature relevant to China

?Provide product, disease state, MPI compliance and database training for all peonnel in China involved with the provision MPI services.

?Provide technical, scientific and/or medical input and support to assist affiliate initiatives.

?Support new product launch teams and communicate specificatio and pla for new products to key stakeholde.

?Deliver Medical Information product support at Alcon Medical Information Desks at professional congresses, as required.

?Provide reports from the MPI database based on metrics established by MPI management.

?Develop and maintain MPI processes and procedures in alignment with global SOPs and global MPI standards.

?Eure local country operatio complete MI mandatory training.

?Develop specialist and current knowledge regarding the body of medical, technical and scientific information for all ALCON company and a solid undetanding of competitor products.

?Support Medical Affai activities by assisting with patient orientated program and investigator initiated trial administrative activities as required.

Ideal Background

Education:

?Tertiary qualification in Ophthalmology or Life Sciences.: Degree or higher in ophthalmology, medicine, pharmacology, chemistry, biology, nuing or other healthcare discipline.

Languages:

?English – Excellent verbal and written English skills

? Chinese

Experience/Professional

?Eye Care clinical experience or PhD graduate in Optometry related field

?Minimum 5 yea’ experience in Pharmaceutical or Medical Equipment Company

?Minimum 3 yea working in Medical AffaiMedical Information within Pharmaceutical or Medical Device Company.

?Clinical experience working in healthcare environment, preferably within optics or ophthalmology,
