Job Description
The Program Manager is respoible for euring the successful execution of customer programs by cross-functional teams including Sales, Field Application Enginee (FAE), Cost Enginee, Front End Enginee, Manufacturing Enginee, Process Enginee, Supply Chain Management, Customer Service, Quality Assurance and more. As a natural leader with excellent communication and good customer-facing skills, the Program Manager will be based in our factory, cotantly and proactively checking on teams required to contribute towards an on-schedule, within-budget and to-specificatio delivery. As a Program Manager, you not only direct a number of programs at any given time, but also may be assigned to more than one account’s program or programs. Regular liaising with custome is expected.
RESPOIBILITIES:
The Program Manager works with a cross-functional team and is accountable to deliver:
* Outstanding customer service
* High performance scores on On-Time Delivery, Quality, and Lead-time
* Program profitability, in line with Multek’s strategy for each specific account
* Oveee the scheduling, coordination and implementation of assigned programs, and act as the Program’s primary point of contact between the business and the customer.
* Develop coistent processes and policies to clarify each cross-functional team member’s role in successfully completing a Program, and revisit this for each new Program/customer as needed.
* Tralate each awarded Program’s paramete (product specificatio, manufacturing itructio, schedule, cost, etc.) into clear pla, milestones, timelines, dependencies, contingencies, success criteria, roles and respoibilities.
* Then manage and coach that Program’s cross-functional membe to efficiently execute their duties in strict adherence to the plan. Oveee all production activities and escalatio needed to successfully deliver customer orde throughout the lifecycle of a program.
This may include any or all of the following:
* Planning, Samples, Quick-Turn, New Product Introduction, Mass
* Production, Shipping, RMA/Issues Resolution, Qualification Audits, etc.
* Eure customer delight and retention in order to generate growth for the business, through the on-time delivery of programs that meet custome’ requirements.
* Eure effective communication of strategy as required between cross functional teams to eure program / product or service has a smooth and timely traition through all phases of documented development processes.
* Coordinate with the client(s) and Multek operatio to determine data requirements, production schedule and deliverables as required Serve as a post-award point-peon on preparatory and executional issues so that Sales and Field Application Enginee do not get bogged down by them and can spend more time with custome puuing new program awards, orde, and upside allocatio for Multek.
* Eure success of existing customer orde by getting various internal teams to undetand the entire production cycle of a program and having them proactively and independently communicate with each other. Build a collaborative, fast, creative, accountable and winning team culture.
* Work with the Director and Management team with regard to coordination of team membe and eure key metrics are monitored per program and/or account so that customer satisfaction is closely monitored.
* Innovate and authorize projects/tools using broad and far vision and expertise in customer requirements to improve and/or extend the value proposition to existing custome, linking them more firmly to Multek.
* Provide business proposal support and inputs for existing or new business, and participateupport major contract negotiatio.
* Monitor and support the program team to eure an effective use of and participation in the company’s Management Reporting requirements (i.e. Customer 360 Dashboard, Customer P&L’s, etc.), Weekly Quote-to-Mass Production Process, and Quarterly Business Review cycle. Collaborate with Sales and FAEs to steer business development activities to win replacement and growth business.
Work side by side with the Global Account Manage Business Development Manager to eure all aspects of customer support are proactively managed within the factories and help cover the following stages of Multek’s business cycle:
* Factory visit/audit/qualification by prospective or awarded customer team within an assigned program or supported account (co-lead with Field Application Engineer)
* Price quote & Program Negotiation (supporting role)
* Preparatory activities and Program Planning, after program award but before receipt of fit order (lead)
* Quick-turnaround work (support)
* Samples for Awarded Program (lead)
* Forecasting Program’s Volumes and Factory Loading (supporting role)
* Receive Purchase Orde for Program from sales or CS and kickoff Program execution with cross-functional team (lead)
* Lead remaining factory activities for Program, like scheduling, receiving materials, mass production (including outsourcing between plants), assembly, QA, packaging and shipment
* Conduct post-mortem after Program has been delivered and share lesso learned (lead)
QUALIFICATIO:
* Prior manufacturing experience required, and previous Printed Circuit Board or Flexible Printed Circuit experience will be a significant advantage
* At least 3 yea of experience in one or more of the following roles:
* Program Manager
* Project Manager
* Customer Success Manager
* Post-sales
* Clientervice Delivery Manager
* Inbound Product Manager
* Account Representative/ManageExecutive
* Field Application Engineer
* Factory/Production Management
* Demotrates mastery of program management knowledge in relation to other functio and a complete undetanding of program management. Demotrated ability to successfully influence senior level management,
executives and key clients. Strong negotiation skills required.
* Familiarity with Six-sigma, Zero Defect (Kaizen), Project Management Ititute, or similar frameworks will be an advantage.
* A Bachelor’s degree with typically 6+ yea of progressively advancing program management, account management, and/or factory operatio experience.
* Fluent in English (clearly speak, read, write) and Mandarin Chinese.
* Strong people and influence skills in managing virtual and dotted-line resources
* Ability to think independently and critically, as well as proactively. Self-motivated and able to thrive in fast-paced, utructured and sometimes ambiguous situatio.
* Prior experience working within a Multi-National Corporation and in a China location strongly preferred.
* Ability to work with internal teams and executive management as well as external custome to maximize mutual benefit.
* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most seitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write well and make effective and peuasive presentatio on controveial or complex topics to top management, custome, and/or pee.
* Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference to practical situatio.
* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusio. Ability to interpret an exteive variety of technical itructio in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
