POSITION SUMMARY:
The role of the Senior Demand Planning Manager – U.S. Automotive Aftermarket is to lead the overall process of managing a demand signal for all product types and customer channels within the Automotive Aftermarket for the purposes of driving the correct signal for the S&OP team to execute off of. At an aggregate level, this signal is used for capacity planning within the manufacturing plants and with out-purchased supplie. At an individual sku level, this signal is to execute operatio to eure the right product is in the right distribution center at the right time for the Automotive Aftermarket end customer.
The Senior Demand Planning Manager plays a leadehip role by mentoring other markets within the Americas on demand planning best practices. This position is the Aftermarket lead in the S&OP process and works with the S&OP team, Sales, Marketing, Product Manage, and Finance teams to assure tight alignment between the demand plan, supply plan, and financial pla. This position also serves as a central resource in assisting the S&OP team, Sales VPs, Field Regional Sales Manage, and Product Manage on continuous improvement processes that support the end customer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPOIBILITIES:
150%(a) Ow the coeus demand plan
■ Provide statistical aggregate forecasts as a starting point for the demand plan by customer and product groups
■ Manages assumptio (demand spikes, customer promotio, customer launches) that are layered on statistical pla. Assures +95% service level on new assumption launches while at the same time not disrupting current fill rates.
■ Ow the demand plan and monthly CDP processes, but gai coeus through monthly input meetings with the Sales, Marketing, and Product Management Group
■Bridges the gap between coeus demand plan and financial plan
■Performs data analysis to lead the input meeting discussio
■Measure % forecasting accuracy trends and bias
■Provides root-cause / corrective action analysis on forecast accuracy misses
■Identify the key “issues” product lines and custome where forecasting accuracy is declining or not improving
■Problem solve the sources of below target forecasting accuracy
■Works closely with the S&OP team on supply alignment
230%(b) Functional ownehip of the sku-customer-location forecasts for the Automotive Aftermarket (68,000 forecasts).
■Assesses sku level trends, makes modificatio to current forecast to mitigate service level risk and building the wrong inventory.
■Assures that input paramete of the DSX forecast models are maintained to create the optimal baseline demand plan.
■Establishes processes that support the demand plan of statistical forecast + assumptio demand planning model
■Assures that new product sku level forecasts are maintained monthly
■Prepare and publish various standard reports, process KPIs and diagnostic measures to monitor the coistency of the operational forecasts within DSX.
320%(c) Drives continuous improvement - develop & execute the strategic roadmap for the demand planning function within the Automotive Aftermarket
■Challenges processes and alig appropriately in support of the Automotive Aftermarket end customer.
■Identify and implement best practices and performance improvement across all areas of Demand Management including statistical modeling.
■Manage talent and develop the required capabilities, & process improvement initiatives to execute these pla and achieve demand plan KPI delivery (Forecast accuracy, customer service levels)
SUPERVISORY RESPOIBILITIES:
The Senior Demand Planning Manager- Automotive Aftermarket will lead, and coach new demand analysts whether temporary or permanent peonnel on creating efficient day-to-day processes that support having the right product in the right location at the right time for the end customer. This includes all markets within the organization.
QUALIFICATIO:
?BA/BS in business or equivalent experience per guidelines below
?10+ yea experience within the Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Finance or Inventory Planning process areas preferred
