PROJECT MANAGER-PASSIVE SAFETY (CHINA)

The job involves working as a technical project manager for passive safety test and engineering projects for Chinese OEM’s. In particular, dealing with custome to support their passive safety development projects, undetanding the project needs and supporting the definition of IDIADA’s proposals and their negotiation.

Future opportunity is to be one of the key-peonal of IDIADA’s China passive safety team since hehe will support and contribute to the strengthening of the local capabilities.

The successful candidate must have the following capabilities:

?Degree/MSc in Engineering (Automotive/ Mechanical/Electrical)

?A minimum of 10 yea experience in Passive Safety testing and engineering projects at OEM’s or TIER 1 supplier performing tasks of:

-Crashworthiness and BIW safety development

-Restraint System Design and Integration

-Coordination of system & component supplie

-Project Management

-Target setting and Design Validation Pla

-Feasibility studies and troubleshooting

-Test supervision, analysis of results and proposal of countermeasures for product improvement

-Airbag calibration programmes

-Pedestrian and Interior impact protection

?Familiarisation with world-wide safety legal standards (EEC, UN ECE, Chinese GB, FMVSS, TRIAS, …) and coumer’s test protocols (e.g. Euro NCAP, C-NCAP, US-NCAP, J-NCAP, ...).

?Experience with SimulatioCAE/CAD tools will be an asset

?Chinese native speaker and very fluent written and spoken English. Knowledge of other languages will be an asset

?Good communication skills and ability to work with in team

?Based in Shanghai but availability to travel within China and to be posted as resident engineer in OEM’s premises.
