Job Summary:
This position is respoible for the field sales of Cognex’s Seor Products. This is a sales role for a defined territory and/or set of end use, partne, and OEM’s. While the primary focus is on seor opportunities, the seor sales engineer, through his/her activities should generate vision funnel for the account manager when the vision seor product will not solve the application. The employee will work closely with the District Sales Manager to develop account strategies and tactics. The employee will be respoible for exceeding a defined quota at these assigned or newly found accounts and expanding our base of business at these accounts in. In addition, this position will collaborate with other individuals from sales and product marketing, on strategic opportunities where collaboration is needed to win. Embodies and core values of Cognex including Work Hard, Play Hard and Move Fast. Additional tasks will be assigned as needed by the manager.
Essential Functio:
1.Properly forecast and close seor opportunities with End Use, and OEMs through direct sales and Partne
2.Effectively demotrate products to custome and utilize the burn grass/delta sell sales process
3.Follows up on sales leads and schedules customer visits. Goal of 15 sales calls per week
4.Work with the Account Manager to eure that all Cognex products are sold into strategic accounts
5.Work with the ASP Partner to eure they are properly trained on how to position and sell Cognex products. Promote Cognex products to increase mindshare and selling time at the Partner
6.Bring vision leads to the Account Manager that were identified during customer activity
7.Work closely with the Iide Sales Engineer to generate funnel and prospect at accounts. Utilize Iide Sales for back office activities like quotes and sales collateral distribution to custome
8.Conduct product and solution demotratio at customer sites using the defined standard seor demo
9.Collaborate with counterparts from other territories on opportunities that are either integrated our italled in a different territory or where the decision make don’t reside in the Seor Sales Engineer’s territory
10.Follow up on customer inquiries, undetand system requirements, and differentiate the Cognex solution
11.Assists at trade shows and other marketing events
12.Coordinate evaluatio utilizing the Applicatio Engineering team
13.Maintain and continuously update project information in CRM
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1.Proven track record of sales performance in the automation industry
2.Proven track record of operating in a solutio sales environment
3.Uses defined sales process to deliver desired results on a coistent basis
4.PC literate with a working knowledge of MS Windows applicatio
5.Ability to work independently is required
Minimum education and work experience required:
1.Technical Degree or equivalent work experience
2.Proven sales experience and a good track record for exceeding sales targets is required
3.Experience in selling technical products to production manage and enginee is also required
