Position Summary/Mission

Under general supervision, formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems. Prepares detailed specificatio from which programs will be written. Desig, codes, tests, debugs, documents and maintai those programs. Competent to work on most phases of applicatio systems analysis and programming activities, but requires itruction and guidance in other phases.

?Knowledge and experience of end-to-end Java SDLC

?Independently desig and/or codes efficient, cost effective application program solutio

?Develops new and/or reuses existing code in a Java environment.

?With limited direction, tralates business requirements to technical specificatio.

?Creates technical desig for a new application or enhancements, including integration of purchased solutio.

?Performs ongoing system maintenance, research, problem resolution and on-call support, according to defined pla or documentation for existing systems.

?Is fully familiar with the prescribed methodology and is in strict compliance with all required artefacts.

?Independently performs unit testing. May perform or assist with integration and system testing, according to detailed test pla to eure high-quality systems. May assist business partne with User Acceptance Testing.

?Independently supports processes related to the implementation of applicatiooftware into production, including integration of purchased solutio.

?Independently supports the Code Asset Management process. Supports and promotes the reuse of assets across the organization.

?Independently works on multiple projects and/or S and actively participates as a member of each project team supporting an application or set of applicatio.

?Independently works on small and contribute to large moderately complex projects that have system wide impact and may integrate across the organization.

?Receives some supervision and direction.

Background/Experience Desired

?6+ yea experience of applicatiooftware/web development

?Expertise in one or more programming language(s), development tools, and/or databases – desired stack: Java, Spring framework, JavaScript, JQuery, HTML/CSS, XML, Ant, logback, Junit, Mockito, EclipseTS

?Proven experience in systems analysis and applicatiooftware/web development, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

?Experience of delivering software projects using Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies.

?Capable of recognizing how impacts to business process or requirements would tralate to necessary application changes to an application or set of applicatio and has a basic undetanding of interfacing systems.

Education and Certification Requirements

?Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

?Good RCA / trouble shooting skills.

?Good communication skills.

?Ability to work effectively with business areas, IT management, and staff.
