Air New Zealand's Global Brand team is looking for a Communicatio Specialist to join their global, high performing team to deliver award winning brand campaig and world class brand communicatio.
As a key member of the Global Brand team you will support the Brand Communicatio Manager – Greater China in developing and implementing an integrated Communicatio Strategy that enhances the brand and delive on the commercial objectives for the region. You will support in the planning and execution of High Impact Media projects and International Media Programmes to grow brand awareness.
Leveraging relatiohips to maximize Air New Zealand’s brand exposure, you will be proactive in maintaining local media relatiohips and initiating innovative ways to approach new media with a key focus on developing a network of key media outlets/ influence to promote the brand and destination. You will be committed to implementing communicatio campaig and brand strategy to grow, retain and drive customer engagement and preference for Air New Zealand.

Role Purpose
Supports the Brand Communicatio Manager in the delivery of an overarching brand strategy to drive customer engagement and preference for Air New Zealand
Supports the planning and execution of High Impact Media Projects and International Media Programmes to grow brand awareness and deliver “money can’t buy” media exposure
Proactively maintai local media relatiohips, initiates innovative ways to approach new media and develops a network of key media outlets/ influence to promote the brand and destination. Leverages relatiohips to maximize the brand exposure.
Supports the planning and implementation of brand programmes that drive awareness and preference on Air New Zealand
Collaborates with internal stakeholde including social media and market development teams for an integrated strategy that enhances the brand and delive to the commercial success of Greater China
Key Outputs
Public relatio
With a good undetanding of media landscape in Greater China, maintai proactive media relatio and explores new media channels to maximize Air New Zealand’s brand awareness
Respoible for PR content development including brand story, product introduction, key spoohip programmes and handling of daily media enquiries/conveation
Working closely with the Social Media team, leverage and share PR content through traditional media, social media platforms, online community, KOLs and blogs.
Supports the Brand Communicatio Manager Greater China in the planning and execution of High Impact Projects and IMP to grow Air New Zealand’s brand presence in Greater China.
Works closely with PR agency on media famils and media content development including media releases, executive interviews and special projects.
Proactively gather information on media environment to discuss and propose new exposure opportunities.
Connect with global brand, spoohip and communicatio teams to adapt global materials for local communication.
Manage clipping house on tracking release and IMP, and produce monthly reports.
Brand communicatio
Supports the Brand Communicatio Manager Greater China in developing and implementing an integrated Communicatio strategy for the region that enhances the brand and delive on the commercial objectives for the region.
As a key member of the Asia brand team, takes on an active role in implementing major marketing campaig in Greater China. Coordinates with agency partne internal team membe to execute and measure campaign activity. Measure and track campaign performance.
Works closely with the online channel, social media team and airport team on media information and critical updates
Business Performance
Works closely with the sales/ market development team to deliver information of tactical fares, campaign, offe through multi-media platforms to drive sales.
Maintai an effective working relatiohip with external agencies including PR agency, marketing partne and creative agency.
Tracks, measures and reports on the performance of PR and campaig as well as monthly budgets for Greater China. Actively manages costs, revenues and supplier agreements for the overall brand budget.
Develops close out reports with recommendatio for future activity on all brand work
Plays an active role in the development and facilitation of brand iights to the greater team
Skills Profile
Minimum 3-year experience in marketing, public relatio or journalism
A degree in marketing or communicatio preferred
Passionate for airline and hospitality industry
Good verbal and written communicatio in English and Chinese
Creative, proactive and reliable
