Overall purpose of job

We are looking for a sugar trader to help expand our domestic sugar trading business.

The trader’s main task is to work closely with sugar trading on domestic sugar trading business: to make purchases/origination from sugar mills, refineries and trade houses; to make sales to local distributo, industrial clients; to manage physical trading logistics.

For career development, the trader will have good exposure to futures trading, raw sugar and white sugar imports into China and global S&D (supply and demand) research.

Respoibilities

- To work closely with sugar trading team

1) to make purchases from sugar mills, refineries and trade

2) to make sugar sales nationwide

3) to manage sugar domestic trading logistics and monitor warehouse inventories etc.

- To take orde for suppliecustomer pricing

- To work closely with risk/treasury team in assessing customer credit risk and managing mark-to-market risk

- Position and PnL (profit and loss) reporting for both physical and futures position

- To be actively involved in raw sugar and white sugar imports, trading information and research discussio

Requirements:

- Experience in domestic sugar trading. Having a wide customer base, industrial client base is a plus

- Experience in sugar trading logistics management

- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English/ Chinese

- Strong Microsoft Office skills: Excel, PowerPoint, Word

- Experience in international trading houses preferred
