- The Sales function is respoible for providing the lead on customer service, sales delivery, growth and development and marketing Pattonair to the aerospace and Defence markets.
- To identify, puue and secure, new business from new and existing custome by actively puuing leads, developing relatiohips and efficiently managing enquiries in line with the business strategy and growth expectatio prioritized by the business.
- May provide technical guidance to a small team.
- Within and across function, predominately with Procurement, Operatio, Quality and Finance to exchange information and provide and receive guidance to achieve objectives.
- With customer to build long term relatiohip to influence and develop business within and established framework, escalating recommendatio outside of this framework.
- The majority of the time within this role will be spent managing approaching and working with new and existing clients to develop and grow business. The role will contribute to accountub-functional strategy and policy with accountable for introducing new opportunities into the business in line with forecast.
- Detailed knowledge and expertise within function and some degree of cross functional business process knowledge is required.
Qualification, Experience, Skills/Knowledge
- Degree in a business related subject is desirable.
- Significant Customer Relatiohip Management experience
- Significant experience working in a target driven commercial environment
- Significant experience of customer account development & growth
- Some experience of price and terms negotiation
- Some project management experience
- Good MS office skills
- Good presentation skills
- Excenllent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to plan and execute to a business development plan
- Strong commercial awareness
- Aerospace fastener and hardware knowledge is desirable.
Key Accountabilities
- Proactively plan and execute customer visits incorporating both scheduled and prospecting to increase sales and eure existing business satisfaction levels and development are maximized.
- To keep and maintain up to date opportunity reports identifying potential custome with an existing or future need for Pattonair services using the appropriate business tool to track and exploit new growth opportunities.
- Develop and maintain excellent customer relatiohips in order to determine customer requirements of new business and eure the customer has a full undetanding of Pattonair's capabilities.
- Develop business opportunities from new and existing custome to achieve and where possible exceed budgeted sales figures and individual targets.
- To develop respoes to Requests for Quotation (RFQ's) and Request for Proposals(RFP's) and eure their timely delivery to the customer to give maximum possibility of successful outcomes.
- To develop and maintain a full and accurate new sales forecast and to eure that this forecast reflects the confidence of winning new business.
- Participation in improvement activities at department/company level to enhance business performance.
- Comply with all relevant internal rules, policy and procedures, including those relating to Health and Safety, Data Protection and all those contained within the issued Employee Handbook and Policies and Procedures Manual.
- Undertake other duties and tasks that may be allocated that are appropriate to the job.
