Under the guidance of the Trieo Global Product Leader and the regional business stakeholde, the Product Stewardship Manager is respoible for euring product regulatory compliance for the Asia Pacific region. This includes supporting key growth markets of the Binde business (Adhesives & Cotruction) by euring product/market suitability while advising the business on product regulatory requirements. This role will be required to support all Trieo businesses as a product regulatory expert and coultant for the Asia Pacific region.

Key respoibilities will include:

1. Interfacing with relevant business functio (such as Commercial, R&D and Quality) to define the regulatory requirements based on an undetanding of the local business pla (including compositional review and when appropriate Management of Change).

2. Coordinating with EH&S respoible people (and leveraged resources) to manage the EH&S requirements as the product is delivered to the customer including hazard characterization and communicatio through safety data sheets (SDS).

3. Identifying and monitoring relevant local product regulatio, future legislation, and emerging short and long-term regulatory trends important to the business.

4. Euring product regulatory compliance, while working closely with regional regulatory experts (and leveraged service peonnel). Examples of regulatio of concern include direct food contact (China GB 9685), chemical composition restrictio (Korea REACH), chemical inventories and registratio, along with chemical labeling laws (e.g. Global Harmonization of Hazard Classification and Labeling (GHS))

5. Leading the Business Risk Review Work Process in association with new product developments and changes in business strategies, end-use applicatio and toxicological information on products and/or raw materials.

6. Providing guidance to local manufacturing representatives related to the acceptability of raw materials, the approval of product specificatio and the impact of manufacturing changes (or raw materials) on regulatory compliance.

7. Supporting the “market facing” functio with formal respoes to customer EH&S inquiries and the defining supported end-use applicatio for products.

8. Implement improved practices for managing raw material data, product compliance information and compositional knowledge in conjunction with SAP (ECC6).

9. Coach and mentor the existing Asia Pacific Product Stewardship peonnel in Shanghai and Hong Kong.

This role will allow the incumbent to participate in, and have a noticeable impact on, how a business operates to obtain a /licee to sell/. It also provides long-term potential for individual growth through frequent interactio with an exteive network of business and functional contacts.

Education

A Maste (B.S.) degree in Chemistry, Biology, Toxicology or other Environmental Sciences is a minimum requirement. Knowledge of the latex / emulsion polymer / and basic plastics chemistry and markets will be beneficial.

Previous experience (> 7 yea) in Product Stewardship or Product Regulatory Expertise will be required.

Experiences that would aid in association with this role:

-Previous experience as a Product Stewardship Specialist or other EH&S role.

-Previous experience in a TS&D role and/or experience with polymer chemistry and end-use applicatio for emulsion polyme.

-Strong project leadehip skills, self-motivation, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

-Strong communication and interpeonal skills. Primary business language will be English.

-Knowledge or undetanding about EH&S work processes and tools. This includes knowledge of Product Safety modules in SAP.

-Experience working with global teams from various functio (Sales, Marketing, R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Site logistics, Corporate EH&S, Product Regulatory Management (PRM), TS&D).

-Experience working with custome and customer interface functional groups (TS&D, Customer Technical Service Center (CTSC) and Customer Information Group (CIG), etc.) and in external work groups (i.e. industry groups or industry associatio).
