Major Purpose:
The four goals of the Digital Director is to:
1) Set-up and lead the digital strategy of the company
2) Create new digital products
3) Monitor and improve all the current digital products (Websitesocial Media/App)
4) Drive online marketing activities to increase the traffic
5) Improve user experience and engagement
7) Coordinate all digital projects with other departments
8) Track and Report to other departments
Key Respoibilities
Ringier China (City Weekend / Shanghai Expat / Shanghai Family) is looking for a Digital Director, reporting to the General Manager of Ringier China. He will be respoible for the Digital Department (Online Marketing and IT team – 10 people) to create and optimize digital products for Ringier in China. Candidate should have experience with project management, IT, digital project, online marketing, sales and team management
Project management:
●Lead product development roadmap : Website, Mobile, Apps and Digital Projects – Sprint / Agile approach
●Business development with sales and marketing to monetize the digital products with client partnehips
Team Management:
●Manage the digital team: define strategy, KPIs, targets and its implementation
○Traffic Acquisition: SEO, SEM, SMM
○ IT Team:Define product roadmap and manage the development team
●Sales liaison : Manage website monetization initiatives:
●Banne and New digital revenue initiatives
●Assist sales representatives in coming up with digital ad pitches when necessary
●Client visits when necessary
●Maintain and stay in defined budgets
○Working with senior management to create annual budgets
Digital Marketing
●Create effective marketing strategies
●Manage and review digital team’s SEO, SEM, and SMM campaig
●Train team on future marketing strategies
●Monitor all data sources on a daily/weekly basis (MOZ, GA, Webmaster tools)
●Manage reporting SEO, SEM, SMM (weekly, monthly)
Human Resources
●Recruiting and training new staff as needed
●Recruiting and training inter as needed
Metric targets
1.Work with senior management to create quarterly metric targets for site traffic, user engagement, ad CTR etc
2.Evaluate progress on a quarterly basis
Desired Skills and Experience
· Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Economics, Computer Science or any other relevant fields. Master’s degree is a plus.
?Proven track record with at least 5 yea management experience in digital projects and/ or start-up environment
· Proficiency in a SEO, SEM, Social Media, preferably at a similar company with management and project management experience.
· Technical competence and knowledge of back end support related to SEO
· Thorough undetanding of SEO industry standards and best practices
· Solid undetanding UI design and its impact on the user experience and SEO
· Well veed in website analytics and associated tools
· Expertise in creating and executing both B2B and B2C content
· Proficiency working with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
· Excellent writing and communication skills
· Ability to work well within a team and across various departments and seniority levels
· Experience with other digital marketing channels a plus, especially an undetanding of Social Media methods as they relate to SEO
· Experience in Google Analytics
· Experience in Content Management for Publishe , Drupal is a plus
· Previous experience with managing Social Media Marketing
· Technical computer skills (Excel, Powerpoint, etc)

Qualification and Experience
Native English speaker preferred; intermediate or above Chinese language skills
Minimum education level: BA in management , marketing, digital economics or related, deep experience in growing traffic for digital products
