General Summary
Develop, create, and validate new, existing, and trafer molds by establishing process paramete, implementing PM pla, training production associates and supporting the establishment of required materials and operatio documents. This includes aiding in mold design throughout program launch phase and eure standard procedures are followed and developed.
Support established processes by working with operatio peonnel to diagnose issues that cannot be solved by using basic troubleshooting techniques. Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce part costs by improving productivity, reducing variation and reducing scrap.
Experience with automotive industry expectatio (including electroplating with plastic), 2K or dual-injection molding, RJG, and a variety of molding materials (including ABS, PCABS, PMMA, etc.) is preferred.
Essential Job Respoibilities
Essential functio include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Global support for new tooling development including coordination with Suzhou and Detroit headquarte
2. Participate tooling design review and support tooling specification building including analyzing mold flow reports and generate educated and data driven suggestio
3. Try out new molds and give proposal to eliminate new injection molds problem, support new injection molds development.
4. Run molding master-setup & DOE when new injection molds develop and trafer.
5. Be respoible for process documentation preparation for tooling traferring including process parameter setup sheets as well as operator WI
6. Implement and coordinate all changes to existing molding processes by writing and approving required documentation.
7. Work with Industrial Engineering peonnel to improve existing procedures and measurement methods.
8. Function as a leader or team member on cross-functional teams to address molding/customer quality issues.
9. Identify and drive Cost Improvement Projects (CIP's) to completion.
10. Support the implementation of new processes and auxiliary equipment to the molding production area.
11. Undetand DOE methodology and use in developing new process windows and identifying mold tooling and processing improvements.
12. Support the ECR process, including part drawing modificatio, material specificatio and all other related paperwork.
13. Support new product development by supporting molding development engineering, product/process design, quality assurance, and assembly production to identify potential issues in the molding process before it is scaled up in molding production.
Qualification
1. College degree, preferably in an molding technology field
2. 8 yea experience in automotive/electronic injection industry
3. Known plating part and trouble shooting in injection process
4. Good English communication skill
5. Self-motivated, Hard-working
6. Must have good computer skills-Word, Excel
7. Able to travel
8. Able to work overtime
