1.JOB PURPOSE

China Category Specialist:

To develop (in conjunction with the China Procurement Manager and Category Manage) and implement category strategies across the given group of category respoibilities to deliver optimum service and value to the business lines. To drive cost reduction initiatives in the category. To support functional objectives in the key functio which utilise the services and to evaluate the markets for such services to identify and manage risks and opportunities。

2.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

China Category Specialist - Hardware and PVB/Ink

●Implement defined China category strategies and objectives.

●Support the Category Manager in analysing, describing and managing the supply market for the category, including supply base, competito, cost structures, market dynamics etc

●Undetand and influence G’s requirements for the category and support the Category Manager in developing a regional supply portfolio that balances cost (sourcing and supply chain) with risk.

●Provide the Category Manager with required reports in a timely manner to support activity undertaken in the category.

●Act as an expert for the category and support associated change programmes.

●Participate in cross-functional category teams within G as required.

●Act as the prime commercial contact with regional supplie in support of global SRM strategies where applicable.

●Support/lead initiatives together with supplie to deliver cost reduction, cash generation and mitigate supply risk, as agreed with the Category Manager and China procurement manager.

●Support/lead specification rationalisation projects and supplier rationalization programmes within the category.

●Negotiate supply contracts as and when delegated by the Category Manager, working within the cotraints of the established category strategy.

●Deliver at minimum the agreed savings programme for the category and eure all savings are fully reported coistently within established Group reporting mechanisms.

●Contribute to the development of the rolling category strategy for the categories

●Support the benchmarking of G costs and supply chain management activities in relation to the category with external companies.

●Undertake cross category projects as required.

●Support/lead the resolution of key service supply issues

●Support SDE to supplier audit by the ISO and TS16949 requirement.

●According to the GroupBU requirement, finish P2P process in compliance.

●Act as the prime contact with business stakeholde, in relation to the category.

3SPECIAL FEATURES

Some aspects of the category will require technology of OE hardware, good communication skill

and strong coordination in work priorities to provide better service to cross-function teams, need

handle relatiohip with both supplie and internal stakeholde well for target achievement.
