JOB SUMMARY

The Purchasing position purchases materials, equipment, and supplies in accordance with prescribed purchasing procedures. Reviews and analyzes purchase requisitio, investigates and develops sources of supplies, prepares bid specificatio, issues bid requests and reviews quotatio, issues purchase orde, negotiates and initiates cost savings, assesses supply base performance, develops new supplie, foste a partnehip relatiohip with supplie, and follows up on delivery. This position requires the use of initiative and independent judgment. This position shall report directly to General Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPOIBILITIES

Examine and analyze departmental purchase requisitio for completeness and accuracy of information; determines method to process requisition based on cost, timeliness required, existing open contracts, and/or competitive bidding

Identify and select vendor to procure requisitioned commodities, meeting criteria such as price, quantity, quality, and delivery date and place orde

Assess current supply base on an on-going basis and recommend changes or alternatives that could reduce purchased material cost or add higher value to purchased components

Monitor the marketplace for assigned commodities to analyze pricing trends, technology advancements, and potentially new, cost-efficient alternatives

Work with purchasing team at Link US headquarte to leverage buying capabilities within the China region to support global purchasing efforts

Initiate and negotiate quality enhancements and cost savings opportunities

Frequently follow up with supplie and eure on-time delivery

REQUIRED SKILLS, ABILITIES, QUALIFICATIO

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical or related field.

2 to 4 yea of manufacturing purchasing experience

Planning and organizational skills with an ability to handle a multitude of projects required

Self-motivated, self-learning, self-starting

Competence with Microsoft Office software required

Good English communication skills especially written English

Experience working with highly engineered components

Knowledge of ERP systems used to purchase materials, equipment, and supplies

Familiar with and working experience in an IS0-9001 or other Quality regulated manufacturing environment
