ZAMA history goes back as far as 1958, when the Shinagawa die-casting company started carburetor production in Shinagawa in Japan. Since 1984 all carbureto bear the ZAMA brand. In 1987, ZAMA industries was founded in Hongkong and the headquarter of ZAMA group established in Tai Po in New Territories. In 1998, large parts of the production were moved to Shenzhen. Then in 2009, the former owner sold all shares to ZAMA’s biggest customer Andreas Stihl AG, the worldwide known technology leader for gardening and forestry equipment, one of the biggest family owned business, role model for SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) in Germany. Although being owned by STIHL, ZAMA continues to supply the whole industry with its fit class products and services and has proven to be a reliable, trustworthy partner to custome around the world.
Since then ZAMA continued to grow and modernize, electronic carbureto and design of complete engine management solutio, together with our partne, were added to the product portfolio. ZAMA became the biggest German enterprise in Shenzhen.
