Pratt & Whitney Aerotech Manufacturing(Chengdu) Co., Ltd. ("CA") was established in Feb 1996 and is the fit Sino-foreign equity joint venture in the Chinese aviation industry, with its major shares held by Pratt&Whitney ("P&W") division of United Technologies Corporation ("UTC", a Fortune 500) , USA. P&W is one of the world’s three biggest engine manufactures, having almost half portion of the whole world’s commercial engine market. The total investment of CA is US$85 million. Among the total investment, P&W ow 86.2%, CEGC 8.6% and AVICII 5.2 %.

CA produces complex parts for the world’s advanced aeroengines and gas turbines. Its production facilities include a broad range of computer controlled machining, forming and welding equipment. The special processes include vacuum brazing, vacuum furnaces, plasma spray, rubber application, NDT, MPI, FPI, EDM etc. The existing products are exported to Pratt &Whitney USA, Pratt & Whitney Canada, Hamilton Sundstrand, etc.
